It's Never Too Late to Start the Homesteading Life

Homesteading isn’t just for the young. While many resources focus on starting after 50, here at Two Otters Homestead, we’re proving that starting a homestead late in life is attainable and rewarding even after 60!
Growing your own food, working your own land, and living a sustainable lifestyle is a goal within reach for almost any age. It’s about going back to the simple heritage of our youth—rediscovering a less complicated and more rewarding life. No, this life is not easy, but it can be scaled based upon your circumstances and goals. Self-sufficiency can be achieved, even in a world defined by instant gratification and forgotten traditions.
Two Otters Homestead was built on love: the love of two high school sweethearts and soulmates. Our journey has been a winding road, full of trials and many mistakes. Through those mistakes and a faith that grows each day, we have learned and grown. Now, we want to share our journey, what we have learned, and how we can help you pursue this same homesteading lifestyle.
Whether you have 1/10th of an acre or 100, there is nothing quite as rewarding as eating the meat and vegetables you’ve grown and raised. Ready to start your journey? Follow along, share your story, and let us show you how this wonderful life is within reach.
